How Can It Be

I am guilty
Ashamed of what I’ve done, what I’ve become
These hands are dirty
I dare not lift them up to the Holy one

You plead my cause
You right my wrongs
You break my chains
You overcome
You gave Your life
To give me mine
You say that I am free
How can it be
How can it be

I’ve been hiding
Afraid I’ve let you down, inside I doubt
That You still love me
But in Your eyes there’s only grace now

You plead my cause
You right my wrongs
You break my chains
You overcome
You gave Your life
To give me mine
You say that I am free
How can it be
How can it be

Though I fall, You can make me new
From this death I will rise with You
Oh the grace reaching out for me
How can it be
How can it be

You plead my cause
You right my wrongs
You break my chains
You overcome
You gave Your life
To give me mine
You say that I am free

You plead my cause
You right my wrongs
You break my chains
You overcome
You gave Your life
To give me mine
You say that I am free
How can it be
How can it be

I woke up with Lauren’s song on my mind this morning because I had started to put this together last night.  God’s grace and mercy is  an amazing thing to think about and try take in.  I’m not even sure I can fully grasp the hugeness of it.   I actually need to take time to look at who I am (I am guilty) and who He is ( The Holy One)  and what He’s done for me (He died for me, He is my Savior!) .   It leaves me awestruck and so grateful for his goodness.  Lawngren often  uses a term of endearment and reverence for our Savior- King Jesus!!!  Seeing it and saying it, reminds me to stop and think throughout the day.  Who or what is getting my attention, Who is King of my life?  It reminds me to leave the rest where it belongs, below my King.   And I fail so often to take the time to remember and just jump into the busyness of the day.  I always wonder why I do that, because it usually sends me spinning into a whirlwind of nonsense that is so worthless.

Just some of what I’m thinking about this morning and now my mind is moving toward all the things I need to do today with a grateful heart!    It’s going to be a busy one for me getting ready for Olivia and Deacon’s visit this weekend which I am SO looking forward to!

This is an open thread, I hope you all have a Blessed Wednesday!
