Let’s face facts. We live in a messed up, screwed up world where it seems, at this point in time, right is wrong and wrong is right. However, God is still on His Throne, Jesus is coming back for us and until then the Holy Spirit is in us and among us so there is much to be grateful for. The Bible tells us praise and thanksgiving is good and the Lord enjoys hearing it. Therefore, I will praise the Lord and thank Him daily.
I will praise and thank the Lord when I don’t feel like it because He is worthy.
I will praise Him when the devil is shouting in my ear and will tune him out with praise and thanksgiving to God
When I feel alone and hurt I will remember my Redeemer who hung alone on the Cross and praise and thank Him for His mercy and what He did for me.
When I don’t know what to do I will praise and thank the Lord because He not only has my answer but because I know He alone is ever my answer.
I will praise and thank the Lord no matter where I am, what the circumstance in my life is telling me and whether things turn out as I want because I know the Lord’s plan for my life is exceedingly good.
Yes, I will praise Him for He is my God and He alone is God.
If we really think about it there is much to praise and thank the Lord for even in our daily lives. The things we know about and the things we don’t know from which God has saved us. As written in Psalm 34:7 “The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.” Who among us cannot relate a story in which God saved us if even it was from our own stupidity?
I was taught to praise the Lord for who He is and to thank Him for all He has done. So I do because He loved me even before I knew Him. He has counted the hairs on my head and my length of days. He has seated me at His Heavenly Table to dine with Him at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and He has forgiven all of my trespasses.
Yes, there is much and more to praise and thank the Lord for and so I will do. However, I know true worship and praise comes not from my lips but from my heart. Not just what I say but what I do and how I serve Him by loving others. This is His command; to love others as He has loved us. Please show me how Lord, Amen.
