We’ve all seen the flag. Black, somber and sobering… a reminder that a family is still waiting for their loved one to come home, one way or another. Waiting for answers.
According to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, the number of those still listed as Missing in Action totals 82,411, which includes those still missing from World War 2, to the Iraq War and other conflicts.
For families still searching, waiting and hoping for answers and/or closure, the process if it moves at all can be excruciatingly slow.
Suffer sent me this story a couple of days ago, and while it’s not yet answered for this family, it is indicative of the refusal to give up on loved ones still missing, no matter how many generations it takes to either find or bring home their hero.
I pray this family and every family, friend and fellow troops who wait for answers will find closure and peace some day soon.
To all who have and still Serve, from the bottom of my heart, I am grateful. Thank You. To our Deployed, God bless you all no matter where you are, and be safe.
Have a blessed day all.
