How to Answer a Skeptic

Show of hands… how many of you have ever argued with someone? 🙂

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, this is an excellent sermon again by Pastor Rogers, which made a few things more clear for me. I admit not only my propensity to argue, but also that sometimes I’m kind of thick headed and learn things slowly, that others may get a lot quicker.

Over the years I have read, and often seen people quote Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you .

That verse has always been a bit hard for me to grasp, I guess because I’m such an ‘arguer’ and also love apologetics and discussions with non believers. So, it was hard to grasp for someone who wants to show the truth to people, but also not waste the gospel on someone who’s not interested in hearing it.  The way pastor Rogers explains it in today’s HB sermon just made it clearer. I love it when that happens.

I hope you guys have a chance to listen and enjoy it as much as I did, and hope it helps all of us in our witnessing, whenever we have those skeptics want to know what the hope we have in us is all about.

Have a blessed Sunday all!
