Well Happy Saturday all! I think it’s a good day to sit back and put our feet up on the railing and just look out at the beautiful day from the shade of the cool porch. By the way, we have more than one hammock, so you don’t have to fight over that one lol.
One of the things I used to love to do back at the swamp was lay on the hammock under the oak tree on a beauty day and read a good book. I didn’t get to do that too often, between chores, work on the computer, raising the boy and making dinners out of the stuff we had growing- but when I did, there was nothing quite like it.
I’ve always loved to read- by myself, or to the boy and his dad for our family read times. We’ve read a lot over the years, and I still do read to American boy once in a while. Everyone knows my favorites outside of the Bible are the LOTR series, but there are a few others I’ve loved over the years too. What are some of your favorites, and how often do you get a chance to just relax with a good book?
As you can probably tell, there isn’t much going on today, unless it’s chores, which I know Heather and I finished ours yesterday. Or a lazy day just to relax and catch up on good stuff, like maybe a movie or going to the beach… what’re you doing today other than spending some time here on the porch?
I don’t have much to share today but this is a good sermon Heather shared with me a few days ago from her church. It’s not her usual pastor, but this is a great message from Habakkuk on turning over fears and doubts to the Lord, and His never minding when we ask, God, What are You doing?!
It’s an open porch and open thread. Whatever you want to talk about or share, that’s what we’re here for 🙂
