It’s been a long time since I went on a trip. The last one was about 3 and a half years ago when I took the boy for a 4 day trip to the panhandle, where I spent 2 of those ‘vacation’ days driving. Whenever I travel though, I prefer to travel light. Bring only enough clothes and stuff that are necessary, and keep it to one bag. I can’t say the same for the trip back though lol.
In life however, I tend to find myself one with a whole lot of baggage, most of it stuff I neither need or want. And boy, does it get heavy and wearisome fast. I tell myself I gotta get rid of it, and sometimes I do. Sometimes I put it down for a while, only to pick it up again later, other times, thankfully I can actually go through it and get rid of bits and pieces.
How are you with carrying around extra stuff?
This is another series from Suffer’s church, and yep, it’s all on baggage. One wouldn’t think we’d need 4 sermons on how much to pack, how often and how long to haul it around, but I know all of us carry some at one time or another in our lives when we really should just chuck it.
I hope you enjoy and learn from these as much as I have. As usual, Pastor Matt weaves some nuggets of wisdom with scripture and humor.
