Dateline March 4, 2019: This is a story of injustice to make a heart of stone wail with grief. In this case, a measure of justice was finally achieved, but it is an illustration of the vicious anti-American attiude of “the swamp” in every area of American federal government. Rejoice with this man, but try not to be enraged by the bigger picture of evil politicians and bureaucrats crushing the spirits and in some cases destroying the lives of those few friends American soldiers found among Afghans in Afghanistan.
“Nabi Mohammadi, who spent years risking his life for Americans, became an American last week … The soft-spoken native of Afghanistan, who helped Iowa National Guard troops patrol a violent region of his homeland, took the U.S. citizenship oath at the federal courthouse in Des Moines.”
Those Guardsmen knew that Nabi would honor his oath of American citizenship, because he had risked his life many times in Afghanistan to help them as an interpreter. He served with National Guard units from Iowa, Georgia, and Vermont, for $700 a month and the promise that he could apply for a visa to move to America.
Although Nabi met all requirements for a visa, although he had the sponsorship of the father of one of the troops he served, although this father and sponsor is himself a retired National Guard colonel, although soldiers in the units he served repeatedly wrote to the US State Department and made many calls to members of Congress, it took two years! for his application to move past the unprintable bureaucrats and result in a “special visa”.
“Special” means “If you soldiers hadn’t applied so much continuous pressure, we’d have turned him down.” Well done, warriors!
Nabi got a job through Manpower at Principal Financial Group and is now “an information technology specialist there, helping employees figure out their computer problems.” He’s finishing an associate degree in math and science, coaches his son’s soccer team, and drives for Uber after putting the kids to bed at night.
His wife passed her citizenship test, attends a local community college, and is planning to become a nurse.
If we assume that Nabi and his wife are not sleeper agents of Islam, then this is an utterly classic American immigrant success story. Speaking for myself, I think the soldiers whom Nabi aided for years know him well enough that we can take their assessment as correct. These troops were in frequent, apparently daily contact, with Nabi over a period of several years. Nabi invested a tremendous amount of energy and time helping them. He had to learn two foreign languages, English and Pashto, to do so. His actions put his family at risk of retaliation from the Taliban. For years.
And still the evil bureaucrats put him through a meat grinder in their attempts to deny him what he qualified for in every way. They had the best possible testimony as to his character, and it did not matter at all.
From the article:
“The International Refugee Assistance Project [hereafter “IRAP”], which urges the U.S. government to let more refugees in, says the United States is not living up to its pledge to assist people in Afghanistan and Iraq who supported American troops.”
Adam Bates, a policy attorney for IRAP, said the number of Iraqis allowed into the United States under the special visa program fell from 6,886 in fiscal year 2017 to 140 in fiscal year 2018. ” ‘If you’re a young Iraqi man who helped American troops’, he said, ‘your wait time for a visa is not months. It’s centuries.’ ”
This in spite of the fact that Congress recently approved an additional 4,000 additional visa slots for Afghans who helped American troops.
What makes this so enraging is the flip side of the coin: the US was (before President Trump put a stop to it) importing thousands of “refugees” who are not vetted and who have PROVEN by their conduct that they hate America and regard Americans as their legitimate prey.
WHY are those would-be immigrants who have a proven history of helping America soldiers DISCRIMINATED AGAINST? The answer is clear: the Swamp is trying its deadly best to crush America, Americans, and Constitutional government.
The track record of the “refugees” from different sources.
“Resettlement of refugees from Somalia first began in 1990. The number of Somali refugee arrivals nearly tripled between 2011 and 2014. Since 2014, Somali refugee arrivals have remained consistent at roughly 9,000 each year (Figure 2) . From 2010 to 2016 (fiscal years, October 1 to September 30), more than 47,000 Somali refugees arrived in the United States…”
Or to put it more “graphically”, from the same source: Somali refugees into the US by year:
Pew Research’s figures from 2016 tell a similar story:
“Estimates from the United Nations indicate that the total number living in the U.S. was around 2,500 in 1990, but had grown to between 140,000 and 150,000 by 2015. In all, the U.S. is home to about 7% of the world’s Somali migrant population. Between fiscal years 2001 and 2015, the U.S. admitted more than 90,000 refugees from Somalia, according to the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement. This refugee flow continues today, with nearly 9,000 refugees from Somalia entering the U.S. in fiscal 2015.”
You can do your own character verification of these Somali invaders. Just be aware that authorities in the US, as well as the “mainstream” media, will do anything to suppress, distort, and cover up attacks and atrocities by any Muslims, illegal aliens, invaders, or “immigrants” (take your pick of names)
You’ll have to dig to find the truth, but it is there:
The “mild” stuff: “Attending the trial of the three who contested the charges against them, I found that these Minnesota men gave the outward appearance of American assimilation, even though—as became apparent in the recordings introduced into evidence—they all hated the United States. They were young, educated, and bilingual.”
And more, “A 2013 CBS article detailed the involvement of the Outlaws, the Mafia, and another gang called the Lady Outlaws in a sex-trafficking ring that recruited and prostituted young girls, some of whom were under the age of 14, between 2000 and 2010. The ring was operated out of Minneapolis, Columbus, and Nashville, and resulted in the indictment of 30 individuals involved.”
The most convincing thing about this video is the number of police responding, and the fact that the police shut down the event:
Assimilation, oh yeah:
It is difficult to keep a rational point of view in these circumstances. Both the American people and worthy would-be immigrants suffer from the anti-American attitude of the American government. But I think that Nabi Mohammadi and his family are citizens we can be proud of. Sir, welcome to our country! I apologize for the rough time you had getting here.
