And now for something completely different (said in my best Monty Python voice).

I heard about something cool on the radio a couple of weeks ago, so of course  I had to check it out as soon as I got home.  Much like cartoons, sometimes it’s fun to listen to kids music- at least stuff we grew up with.  As far as Christian music for kids, well, the last batch of stuff I remember listening to, and singing along with for the boy was Veggie Tales…

If you spend the rest of the day with that song on your mind, desperately trying to get it out of your head, you’re not alone.

So what does this have to do with today’s spotlight??  Everything!

I know most of us don’t have kids, at least not young ones who would benefit from today’s spotlight, but some of us do know folks with young’uns, or some have grandkids who might enjoy the latest from Christian kids’ music.

As I said, I heard about this on my way home one day and thought it was great. So this is what I found when I looked up the Kids Christian stuff by Rend Collective (we’ve shone the spotlight on them before)- called Rend Co. Kids.  Have a watch…

That was fun 🙂  And yes I love their accents too.

So back to the stuff I heard on the radio, this is the song they played and I loved it…

And of course there is the kids video version of a song most of us here have heard and also love,

All in all, this is a great collection (so far) of songs for kids to learn about the Bible, and God’s love for them.  Kid’s Christian music has come a long way, but I love that the messages are real and scriptural, as well as fun.  Veggie tales was fun, I’ve enjoyed a lot of those shows and couple of movies when American Boy was little, but I love what Rend Co. Kids is all about too.  If you know anyone with young ones, you might want to pass some of this music along to them.  Even if you don’t have any kids, hopefully these will make you smile.

That’s it for today’s spotlight from this end- now it’s y’alls turn to post whatever Christian songs are on your mind or in your heart to share.  Have a blessed Sunday all!
