Wednesday Opened Up

Hey! It’s Wednesday.  Half way there, at the top of the work pile and beginning to slide down by the end of the day towards Friday.  I like it when that happens.

It’s also a rare time for the porch to be open, but here it is 🙂

Time for folks to share whatever’s on their minds, songs or stories…

I don’t have much to add right now, although last night after posting a favorite song of mine in comments to lawngren, I let you tube play on- and another song by the Martins (brother and two sister trio) came on, which I’d never heard before.  (boy that was a pretty good run on sentence!  I just had ice cream…. just before bed 😮  first time all day and night that it was cool enough to eat it before it melted.  But a sugar rush before bed time is not a good idea).

Anyway, back to the song.  I know I’ve posted The Promise here many times.  It’s one of my all time favorites from the first time I heard it on the radio when I was trying out a Christian station for the first time. I love the lyrics.  I told lawngren it’s kind of like a Psalm- encouraging, comforting, truth and just a great reminder especially when things are rough.

This song too has much the same.  It’s good for peace of mind in trials and hard times seeming to get harder.  A great reminder that wherever you are- God is already there, with you through it…

Times are getting tough all around, and sometimes it can be hard just to get through the day.  If you find yourself beaten down by all the chaos, confusion and state of things in this world, or just going through some personal hard times or pain, I can’t promise that everything will get better, but I can promise that no One will help you get through it more than Jesus. He’s not only the truth, the life and the way to God, but also healer of hearts, peace in times of trouble and comfort in all griefs.  He is there, He’s been there, and waiting for you to meet Him wherever you are.

Have a blessed and safe day all.
