Sunday’s Porch

Hey y’all! Happy Sunday!

I’m looking forward to hearing what the Lord is trying to tell us today through His Word- so whoever has a church service to share, please do.

Until then, let’s have a few Him songs, praise and worship…

Thank You Lord for Your incredible mercy!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. Psalm 103:8

The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. Psalm 145:9

Thank you Lord for being our strength, our fortress, our solid Rock, our Salvation. You are unshakable, unbreakable and always our protector and our refuge.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: ‘Whoever believes will not be in haste.’ Isaiah 28:16

For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:11

Thank You Lord for being the most Amazing Artist, incredibly creator and Most High Master builder!

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth Genesis 1:1

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Job 33:4

And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands Hebrews 1:10

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Hebrews 11:3

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11

Earlier this week I was mentioning to Lawngren that there is really no human language that can describe the Lord.  He is so above and beyond anything we can imagine or say, and yet, we His created are still loved so much by Him.

C.S Lewis once said, “Reality, in fact, is usually something you could not have guessed. That is one of the reasons I believe Christianity. It is a religion you could not have guessed.

I know there are many ways to look at that quote, but it makes me think of the fact that God is so much that we don’t know or understand, the depths of everything about Him, everything He has done and continues to do, is so much more than anything humans could think up… which is why I know He is true…. HE, not religion that we could not have guessed.

Lord, who are we that you would be mindful of us?  Thank You Lord for being the Only awesome God.

Have a blessed Sunday all!
