The way flowers and trees bud in spring, to the breathtaking beauty of colors in autumn… the incredible variety of plants, insects, animals, instincts, behaviors, differences in people…. Stars, cloud shapes, seasons and the mechanics of this planet and it’s interaction with life here and with our solar system are amazing to me. When one really thinks about it all, one can’t help but see a Creator behind it all.
From the hugeness… not even a word to describe the universe, to the smallest creatures in our world, everything has a purpose and a place, and in so many ways is dependent on each other thing. The way we need oxygen, which is produced by trees, which in turn ‘breathe’ in carbon dioxide that we breathe out is a simplistic way of seeing the intricate balance that God designed.
Last night Puddintain shared a couple of videos that were short but amazing to watch, and I had to go watch some more lol. And I knew we’d have to have to share them on today’s open porch.
Some people look at a sunset and think what a glorious sky. Others look at a sunset and think what a cool way that the molecules and small particles are scattering by changing the direction of light rays. Some people look at what’s around us and see things as evolving from a chaotic random happenstance… life forming out of some primordial stuff that just happened and now billions of years later we have the variety of life due to survival of the fittest. Others see the miraculous, awesome, glory of the Lord, Who created everything that we see, and so much more beyond the stars that scientists and astronomers still haven’t discovered yet- and still see our place in His handiwork.
Do I see the science in a sunset sky? Sure. As I see biology and engineering in the flora and fauna all around me. But I attribute the sciences to the God who invented it all. I can’t not see God, and I can’t imagine living not seeing or wanting more of Him. He is an awe inspiring artist, a clever creator and delightful designer with a fantastical imagination. Our God is bigger than any human language can describe. And… He loves us.
Thank You Lord.
Happy Saturday. It’s an open porch y’all! Have at it. I hope everyone has a blessed day.
And PS- thank you Puddin’brother for sharing those videos. I needed the reminders and joy He gives through His incredible gift of creation.
