Saturday on the Porch

Howdy all!  It’s Saturday after Thanksgiving.  The temperatures for most of us, even here in the south have been changing, getting a little cooler, and the fall colors up north are pretty much past their prime.  I believe CDS has already had snow so far this season.

So.. we know that means folks are gonna start (if they haven’t already) getting ready for Christmas.  To me, it’s still kind of early but it’s been such a yucky year, I know a lot of us are ready for some sweet, amazing  and JOYFUL songs we all love….

I love the way this song sings not of Christ’s first coming, but of His 2nd:

Joy to the World, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Joy to the World, the Lord is come!

It’s Saturday and the porch is wide open. It doesn’t have to be Christmas songs or stories, but if you’re feeling the Christmas mood now, go for it 🙂  But whatever folks have on their hearts to share hopefully we’ll all have some time between whatever we’ve got going on today to check in and say hi and hang out a bit.

Have a Glorious day all!

(yes I posted this a couple of days ago, but it’s so good I have to post it again!)
